Prior to the pandemic and before joining Shepherd Home, Karen worked part-time for three years as an Administrative Assistant at Patrick Place (a Comfort Care Home in Scottsville). It is there that Karen found her passion for comfort care and the elderly.

Erin Stefanovic
Nurse Coordinator
Erin Stefanovic answered the call of nursing, after her father’s Lung Cancer diagnosis in 2015. She began her career in the Burn/Trauma ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital before transitioning to Long Term Care, with the aim of making a difference in the lives of the elderly and disabled through holistic nursing practice. In her years in long term care, Erin quickly discovered that she had a passion for tending to the people in her care and their families at end of life, deciding that Hospice was her niche. When a position became available at The Shepherd Home in March of 2024, Erin, a Penfield resident, seized the opportunity to serve at her community’s Comfort Care Home, and feels honored and grateful to be a part of its’ mission.
In her spare time, Erin loves to travel, and spend time with her husband, 2 children, 2 English Bulldogs, and Bengal Cat.
