Our Team

Deborah Cubiotti Scibetta

Deborah Cubiotti Scibetta was named Executive Director in April of 2023. Prior to this role Debbie has spent more than 30 years in a variety of Hospice Nursing positions.

Debbie has been a valuable part of nursing at several local comfort care homes throughout the years. This includes being one of a three person medical team to successfully launch the start of a new home and staying on board as the Assistant Nurse Director until the home had to pause in 2020.

Debbie then returned to Shepherd Home as Nurse Coordinator in 2021 before quickly advancing to her new role.

In addition to Debbie’s vast nursing career, she has a passion for fundraising and event planning. Debbie has led many successful Fundraising Events, including Galas and Golf Tournaments.

In her free time, Debbie enjoys traveling and is an avid gardener and cook. She loves spending time with her large Italian family.

Karen Polo

Karen Polo joined Shepherd Home in October, 2022 as the Volunteer Coordinator.  Prior to the pandemic and before joining Shepherd Home, Karen worked part-time for three years as an Administrative Assistant at Patrick Place (a Comfort Care Home in Scottsville).  It is there that Karen found her passion for comfort care and the elderly.

Karen and her husband Steve live in Caledonia, and they have 2 adult sons. In Karen’s down time, she runs a decorative cookie business, For the Love of Cookies.

Erin Stefanovic

Erin Stefanovic answered the call of nursing, after her father’s Lung Cancer diagnosis in 2015. She began her career in the Burn/Trauma ICU at Strong Memorial Hospital before transitioning to Long Term Care, with the aim of making a difference in the lives of the elderly and disabled through holistic nursing practice. In her years in long term care, Erin quickly discovered that she had a passion for tending to the people in her care and their families at end of life, deciding that Hospice was her niche. When a position became available at The Shepherd Home in March of 2024, Erin, a Penfield resident, seized the opportunity to serve at her community’s Comfort Care Home, and feels honored and grateful to be a part of its’ mission.

In her spare time, Erin loves to travel, and spend time with her husband, 2 children, 2 English Bulldogs, and Bengal Cat.
